When you are planning to go abroad, it is *always* a good idea to phone your bank(s) and have them put exclusions (travel notices) on your cards, debit and credit - this way they won't immediately assume your cards have been stolen and freeze your accounts. And for fuck sakes, be sure you actually write down and take with you the phone numbers they provide should anything go wrong or heaven forbid, your cards are actually stolen.
A mere 48 hours away from arrival, twenty-four from leaving home... fucking crazy the lengths I go to, to have a cheap flight... 24 hours ahead of actual arrival, I leave my house. Sweet jesus. In the end, who cares though - I can sleep on the flight(s) and still be good to go when there - energizer honey badger here. LoL!
At the start of the week, man, it seemed like it took soooooo long for time to move along. And now that the day is getting closer, time is flying. Last minute stuff to take care of here today and then tomorrow it is last check of gear and off and away...
